Arvid Lepsien

Arvid Lepsien is a doctoral student at the Department of Computer Science of Kiel University with a background in information systems (M. Sc. and B. Sc. Wirtschaftsinformatik). In his master's thesis, he developed an approach to extract event logs for process mining from video data.

Arvid Lepsien is currently working on extending the approach for process mining on video data and on handling the uncertainty associated with event logs extracted from videos and other unstructured data.

Project overview:

Quantifying Uncertainty for Explainable Process Mining: Development of methods to quantify and handle the uncertainty associated with event logs extracted from unstructured data sources using ML models

ProcessPig: Using process mining to monitor behavioral patterns of pigs based on surveillance video recordings

Sentinel-2 for Chl-a retrieval: Sentinel-2 MSI remote sensing data and image-based ML models for Chl-a regression
